Yesterday Brad and I had brunch at Salty's with some friends of ours. SO GOOD. The downside was that I most likely consumed 4,000 calories prior to noon. The upside was that this was the view from our table!

Good news in bad economy: Shark attacks on decline

So I see that article today on msn.com. My first thought...seriously? That's our good news for the current economic crisis!? Not that I take shark attacks lightly, but kind of a funny thing to be like "Money troubles? Not to worry, shark attacks are down!"

I will admit, upon hearing this I felt a slight relief as I am traveling to Maui next week & thought maybe the sharks were retreating back further from the shore? I thought, great! I will be kayaking around in the ocean next week, one less thing to think about! I was curious to learn what this scentific evidence was going to be supporting the fact that there are less shark attacks happening these days. I mean, it couldn't be the obvious...which was my first thought, as in: due to the bad economy, less people have money to vacation therefore are spending less time at the beach, therefore less shark attacks are happening. No, obviously there would be a better explanation.

I open the article to learn yes, there are less shark attacks recently due to people not being able to afford to travel to the beach/go on vacation. Wow, people are really looking for some good news to hard economic times!

Woah, it's starting to look like "The Office" in here! I almost thought that was Michael Scott hanging up that awesome "TEAM" banner in the conference room. I think it's supposed to boost moral here at work since it's been pretty slow & no one comes into work anymore. Hmmm, looks like something I painted back in my cheer days at WWHS!

Ashley's Baby Shower

Yesterday I attended Ashley's baby shower. We had such a fun afternoon! The shower was great and it was so fun to see so many girls I hadn't seen in a long time. Most have children of their own, or are also pregnant. I was possibly one of three people that wasn't prego or a mom :) It was so great to see them all and to catch up, what cute mom's and mom's-to-be!

My game day cupcakes...SO good! Though I didn't care who won, I still wanted to be festive...
