Straight to the point

I have a great hair straightener, so I thought I would share it with you! About a month ago I purchased the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium hair straightener and I couldn't be more impressed with it! Rayna, my stylist, used it on me at Gene Juarez and I was instantly hooked. It literally glides over your hair and leaves it so soft and silky, and amazingly straight. They have come so far from the gold plated Hot Tools of our college days. This item runs a little over $100, but I picked up a brand new one on Ebay for around $60, so they are definitely affordable. Especially since I use it every day :)

I heart Sundays

And what a good one it was! Started off with a walk & going out to breakfast, followed by a massage at Gene Juarez (a gift from the boss, defintely not a typical Sunday activity for me!) and then a BBQ & some travel shows about Italy at Brad's place in the evening (which is making me excited to start planning the trip!) So nice & relaxing though!

SUCH a hater...

Yep, that would be me. Brad & I got talked into going to Qwest Field w/ a friend of his on Saturday night to go to the Motocross Races. Um...not really my style. I figured it would be trashy, but I was in for the beer, hot dogs & kettle corn. If I don't want to do something, I can usually be coerced with food, sadly. Mullet sightings and funny shirts never hurt either. Here is a video of what I endured on Saturday night. It was seriously pure chaos, the sounds and the absurd amount of motor bikes all over the place racing around, it was actually quite entertaining! I will admit, I didn't have that bad of a time! ;)

Happy Birthday Kevin!

Little Brother turns 23 today! Happy Birthday!!!

A rockin' Friday night

Started off with a little dinner at Zen Asian Bistro http://zenasianbistro.com/ and then continued on to a movie at Lincoln Square in Bellevue. We saw "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", which I actually quite enjoyed! Very similar to Knocked Up & Superbad...I just love the humor of these movies! Definitely would recommend it. It was funny though, I did get carded as I entered the theatre! The kid at the door (and yes, I mean "kid", maybe 16 years old) asked me for my ID as I walked in. I laughed and said "I'm 27! Really?" and he just looked at me. Do I really not even look 18?

Wait, where am I?

In the forest???
I just got back from going to pick up a resale certificate for one of our condos, and I literally ended up in the middle of a forest! Yep, that would be Bellevue apparently. I could barely even see a building anywhere near me, and I actually had to take a trail from where I parked my car to get where I needed to go. An actual "marked trail" to direct me! I felt like I should be camping, and definitely not in heels.

The Today Show throws a wedding

Let's keep our fingers crossed that it's the Rinabarger's wedding!!! Today Kris & I went out on the boat (FYI, not a good place to be after a night of drinking) to help Coffey & Steve film their one minute video for the Today Show of why they should be chosen to have their wedding on tv. The video turned out great, and those crazies jumped into the lake at the end! BRRR... I cannot imagine how cold that water was, it couldn't have been more than 45 degrees when we were filming them!

Jamie's Birthday Party!

Tonight we went out for Jamie's birthday to Sambar & The Viking in Ballard. Sambar was very cute & tiny, and had the yummiest champagne drinks! Unfortunately the champagne drinking did not subside when we moved onto The Viking, and the effects were felt on Sunday...ugh. But we had a fun night! :)

April (snow) showers bring May flowers? Hopefully!

Yep, it's snowing today! So weird... I went up to Alderwood with Jamie to do a little shopping. As I left Eastlake, it was just raining...but as I approached Alderwood mall, there were 2-3 inches of snow on the ground! To overcompensate, it was about 80 degrees in Forever 21. I can't win today. After long dressing rooms lines, and seriously sweating, we headed to the Japanese dollar store and found some incredible finds! After that we were about to head out, when we came across the most disgusting display of clothing: Heidiwood. It was just like her...trashy & cheap.

I come across all sorts of funny business cards, poses, slogans, etc. being in the real estate industry. This one always makes me laugh, it is up there with some of the best I have ever come across...

Tag! You're it...

Shelby over at http://shelbynycole.blogspot.com/ just tagged me. Here’s what that means…

RULES:

1) you link back to the person who tagged you. {link above}
2) post these rules on your blog.
3) share six unimportant things about yourself.
4) tag six random people at the end of your entry.
5) let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs

Here are my six random facts:

1.) I have never eaten a McDonalds hamburger. Seriously??? Yes.

2.) I cannot dry off wet wooden spoons. Every time I attempt to, I get the chills & goosebumps everywhere and have to throw it down. Totally gives me the creeps!!!

3.) I have never lost a Saved by the Bell trivia challenge. I will challenge anyone.

4.) Every Christmas Eve my family goes out for Chinese food after church. The tradition is 30+ years and counting (only 27 for me of course)…

5.) I have an autographed 8x10 glossy, black & white photo of Vanna White from 4th grade made out to ”Shelly”. Apparently I thought she was cool enough to write to and request a photo and apparently I went by “Shelly” in 1990.

6.) When I was 8 years old I got run over by a cyclist and knocked to the ground in a parking lot & suffered a minor concussion. I mysteriously slipped back out of it and started remembering things again once I was given a package of skittles.

I will be tagging 1 person since I don’t have many blogging friends, and those that I have, have already been tagged! So that leaves Kris! :)
