Pullman Recap
I had a great weekend in Pullman with the fam, and the Cougs won in OT so I am proud to have witnessed possibly our sole victory of the season ;) As promised I did an excellent job eating in Pullman...Sellas on Friday night and Cougar Country yesterday for lunch. Serious food detox will be necessary though. We walked up on campus on Sunday so I could check stuff out. If you have been there in the last 2 years, it's pretty much the same. If you haven't been back for a few years, its VERY different! Bookie=Police Station fyi. New Bookie located in the all-new Cub which looks completely different...even has a restaurant with a ton of beers on tap. Now where was THAT when we were in college? Then again, I would really have never studied up at the Cub had there been beer available there...
I found a pretty sunflower with my nemisis on it. Though this one looks okay, I am not a fan of his stinging relatives.

Craving...
As those of us that went to WSU can probably tell you, there is something so incredibly special about Pullman that I honestly cannot explain to those who didn't spend 4 (or maybe 5) years there themselves. I still get "the feeling" everytime I turn off the highway and start the decent down into town and see the WSU flags lined on the right hand side of the street.
About a week before I go every fall I like to make my checklist. It mostly involves where I am going to eat (Sellas & Cougar Country this trip), but this time I have been thinking about what else I want to do while I am there...
I want to tailgate. I want to hear the fightsong in Martin Stadium. I want to walk up the hill and see what's different & what's the same. I want to have a beer in Coug & look and see if I recognize any of the names on the wall. I want to feel the crisp air of the morning and know that the afternoon will be warm & sunny. I want to see the leaves just beginning to change on Linden Street. I want to laugh at shackers.
I am heading over to meet my family later this afternoon in Pullman for the weekend. We are ultimately going to the the game...but in all honesty, I was just really missing Pullman & felt that I needed a visit. I love you my cute little college town, see you soon!

Kittens inspired by Kittens
This video KILLS me. It's my new cure if I'm ever feeling down, before that it was the kid dancing to Boots w/the Fur.

Rothie's 30th!
On Saturday we celebrated Kimberly Dawn "Rothie" Kocher joining the 30-club at Beaux Arts Village Beach in Bellevue. It was a wonderful afternoon/evening of friends, Dixie's BBQ sandies, drinks and cupcakes. Happy 30th Rothie!
