Pullman Recap

I had a great weekend in Pullman with the fam, and the Cougs won in OT so I am proud to have witnessed possibly our sole victory of the season ;) As promised I did an excellent job eating in Pullman...Sellas on Friday night and Cougar Country yesterday for lunch. Serious food detox will be necessary though. We walked up on campus on Sunday so I could check stuff out. If you have been there in the last 2 years, it's pretty much the same. If you haven't been back for a few years, its VERY different! Bookie=Police Station fyi. New Bookie located in the all-new Cub which looks completely different...even has a restaurant with a ton of beers on tap. Now where was THAT when we were in college? Then again, I would really have never studied up at the Cub had there been beer available there...

I found a pretty sunflower with my nemisis on it. Though this one looks okay, I am not a fan of his stinging relatives.

Craving...

PULLMAN
As those of us that went to WSU can probably tell you, there is something so incredibly special about Pullman that I honestly cannot explain to those who didn't spend 4 (or maybe 5) years there themselves. I still get "the feeling" everytime I turn off the highway and start the decent down into town and see the WSU flags lined on the right hand side of the street.
About a week before I go every fall I like to make my checklist. It mostly involves where I am going to eat (Sellas & Cougar Country this trip), but this time I have been thinking about what else I want to do while I am there...
I want to tailgate. I want to hear the fightsong in Martin Stadium. I want to walk up the hill and see what's different & what's the same. I want to have a beer in Coug & look and see if I recognize any of the names on the wall. I want to feel the crisp air of the morning and know that the afternoon will be warm & sunny. I want to see the leaves just beginning to change on Linden Street. I want to laugh at shackers.
I am heading over to meet my family later this afternoon in Pullman for the weekend. We are ultimately going to the the game...but in all honesty, I was just really missing Pullman & felt that I needed a visit. I love you my cute little college town, see you soon!

Ultimate Football Weekend

At Qwest for the WSU game on Saturday! I met up with my little brother Kevin and his girlfriend Katie for a bit! Despite the loss, it was still a very fun Cougar Football Saturday :)

Back at Qwest on Sunday for the Seahawks game! SUCH a fun day!!!!!!

Seahawk fans are seriously CRAZY. Sooo loud & a little bit more rowdy than the Coug game I Must say...

With Toby, Sarah & Becki...Toby hooked us up with some VIP treatment! Thanks AJ! :)

Watching the Ting Tings perform at Halftime

Loving our bracelets to the "after party" aka a curtained off area where we ate yogurt with the players families and then tried to act cool as we watched them drive away in their Escalades...

Labor Day Roche Harbor Weekend!

Rothie, Jamie and I getting ready to begin our boating journey up to Roche Harbor!

We had a perfect day for boating up...the smoothest waters out in the Sound!

We saw dolphins, seals and all sorts of fun sea creatures as we headed up!

Cute Roche Harbor

A perfectly sunny & warm Cougar Football Saturday!

The view from our condo

Amazing sunsets in the marina

Jamie, Kim, Ruthie and I watching the WSU game on Gary's boat!

We headed up to watch Colors on Saturday night!

Back to the boat for a dance party on the bow...this was the last thing we did before getting yelled at (@ 10:45pm) to "act our age". Umm...we are!? :)

Kittens inspired by Kittens

This video KILLS me. It's my new cure if I'm ever feeling down, before that it was the kid dancing to Boots w/the Fur.

Rothie's 30th!

On Saturday we celebrated Kimberly Dawn "Rothie" Kocher joining the 30-club at Beaux Arts Village Beach in Bellevue. It was a wonderful afternoon/evening of friends, Dixie's BBQ sandies, drinks and cupcakes. Happy 30th Rothie!
